A meditation class at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center led him to live for a while at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, where he made plans to join the monastic community of Ajahn Sumedho as a postulant at Amaravati Monastery in England in 1989. Taking bhikkhu (monk) ordination at the related Cittaviveka Monastery in 1991, he trained there and at Aruna Ratanagiri Monastery until 1997, at which point he embarked on a period of practice in Thailand and other Asian Buddhist countries. He returned to the UK in 2006, where he lived at Amaravati until moving to Temple in 2014. Since 2009 Ajahn Jayanto has helped to lead the efforts to establish a branch monastery in New England, and he now serves as Abbot of Temple Forest Monastery.

The Heart Of The Heart Sutra

Shen Shi'an is a dedicated Buddhist teacher, who teaches many classes on various Buddhist subjects. He has somehow made the class interesting for me and for my classmates to better learn and absorb. I really enjoyed the lessons conducted as he is knowledgeable and there isn't a dull moment in this class... I urge those who are interested to understand or are curious about the Heart Sutra to sign up for this class. Regardless if you are Buddhist, non-Buddhist or a free-thinker, you should this class.

Destination Pureland: How To Have Best Rebirth ( 6th run)

‘It was a great course… Especially the last lesson, where I got lots of tips.’ : ) … This is one of the best Dharma courses that I have attended. I have seen how it has benefited my friend in managing his father’s passing on just after he has attended this course... If you have questions like "What should I do immediately when I discover my loved one has passed on? ", "How can I help my loved ones for a better rebirth?", "What do I have to do within the 49 days of passing? ", "How do I continue to give my love to my loved ones even after they have passed on? ", etc. then this is the course that will address these questions and many more.' – Teng Leng

The thought of Appreciative Joy protects oneself and others, such that both benefit from it.
The thought of Jealousy harms oneself and others, such that both become enemy.

With wisdom, without defilements, with Loving Kindness and Compassion, without enmity.
The cultivation of Equanimity, establishes the wisdom of knowing that each being is the owner of its own kamma
Correcting one’s view and having the Right View, thereby showing the true power of Loving Kindness and Compassion,
Able to remove Greed and Hatred, leading to a life without remorse,
With peace and happiness everywhere one goes, and Concentration of the Mind.
Dhammapada verse 38:If a man's mind is unsteady, if he is ignorant of the true Dhamma,
